The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Committee on Law and Justice and Computer Science and Telecommunications board hosted a two-day workshop on June 24-25, 2024, to explore law enforcement use of person-based and place-based predictive policing strategies. This new proceedings summarizes the workshop's key themes, including pressing challenges and opportunities, and areas for further consideration and guidance.
