Despi e a growing interest in Pool over the last years there has been so far no book in English on this avant-garde group. In this study Pool’s works and activities are set in relation to other modernist art and the group’s humane aesthetic concerns and anthropological ideas are revealed. Pool is different from other modernists in that it unites opposing tendencies within Modernism and joins technological progress to humanitarian interest.
