| The late Walter Williams was a welder, farm implement dealer and pilot in west central Saskatchewan in the 1950s. Walter became a flying taxi service and unofficial air ambulance pilot to residents of his region after purchasing a small two-seater plane in 1947. He flew pregnant women, injured children, corpses, criminals, doctors, RCMP officers, books, corpses and friends to hospitals and other destinations - often in horrible weather conditions and without regard for safety or common sense. |
