Leibniz concealed from his contemporaries his project for ascientia generalis, which was to compress all the knowledge of his time into an encyclopedia. With only a few correspondents, he tried to seek understanding for his theses without revealing too much about them. In these essays, Heinrich Schepers seeks to approach the true nature of what constitutes Leibniz’s metaphysics.
