This is the first complete grammar of any of the twenty or so Dogon languages of Mali, West Africa. Its most interesting features are the systematic use of stem-wide tone contour overlays, and of intonational effects, for grammatical purposes, for example, marking the head NP of a relative clause, and expressing 'X and Y' coordination.
